She is the daughter of Kim and Kurt Grindatti. Her uncle, MMA promoter Jay Thompson, initially introduced her to Brazilian jiu-jitsu. She was previously married to her Fight Sports trainer, Roberto "Cyborg" Abreu; however, their relationship ended in 2022 after having been separated for over a year. In 2023, she married professional jiu-jitsu athlete Luccas Lira.
