Known by the nickname "The Diamond Star," this enormously successful Filipina screen actress earned close to fifty entertainment awards for her roles in films such as Dahas (1994) and Separada (1993) and for her performances in Kaya Ni Mister Kaya Ni Misis, Vietnam Rose, and other television series.

Before Fame

When she was just six years old, she made her acting debut in the 1971 movie My Heart Belongs to Daddy.

Trivia

A singer as well as an actress, she performed the theme song to the 1981 film Oh My Mama.

Family Life

Born Maria Cecilia Dador Soriano, she grew up in Manila, Philippines. She gave birth to sons named Sebastien and Marron and was briefly married to actor Edu Manzano.
