Before Fame
He started his career on Radio Acapulco, an Amsterdam based pirate radio station. After moving to Dutch national station TROS, he had his television debut at age 19, on the TV program Popformule.

Family Life
He married to Amanda Beekman in 1995, and then again in 2005. They divorced for the second time in 2014. Together they have four children, Michelle, Bickel, Jasmijn and Achilles Krabbé. In September 2019, he married Deborah Wietzes. His father is actor and director Jeroen Krabbé, and his mother is Herma.
