Before Fame
He attended St. Louis University and was All American soccer player in 1994 and 1995. He is one of only a few people in college soccer to get both 40 goals and 40 assists. He was the first draft pick by the Kansas City Wizards in the 1996 MLS Draft.

After retiring, he worked as the boys' youth director and coach for various teams at the Sporting JB Marine Soccer Club in St. Louis.
