Creator of the 'Phantom Lady' comic book character and the early graphic novel 'It Rhymes with Lust' from 1950. In 2008, he was inducted into the Will Eisner Comic Book Hall of Fame.

Before Fame

He specialized in the comic book genre known as "good girl art." However, his best-known comic book of this type was cancelled by its first publisher and was later re-vamped by Fox Comics, which insisted that the book's heroine be pictured in skintight tops and short shorts.

Trivia

His other works included "Canteen Kate" and illustrated science fiction stories in the "Tales of The Mysterious Traveler" anthology.
