Jamaican sprinter who won the gold medal in the 4x400m relay at the Indoor World Championships in 2003. He was named 2002's Jamaica Sportsman of the Year.
He first gained attention at the 2000 Olympic Games, where he finished second in the 4x400m relay.
His gold medal at the Indoor World Championships came as a result of the previous gold medalist, Jerome Young, admitting to doping during the contest, thus promoting Blackwood's silver medal to gold.
His sister, Catherine Scott, is an Olympic silver medalist.
He and Jeremy Wariner are both IAFF Continental Cup champions.
