Singer and songwriter best recognized for his work in the group Gungor who has released singles such as "Beautiful Things" and "Vapor". He is also a writer and author and published the book The Crowd, The Critic, and The Muse: A Book for Creators.
He originally started playing music with his church in Grand Rapids, Michigan in 2002. After having signed to Integrity music, he released his debut album Bigger Than My Imagination in 2003.
He is known for having won the 2008 GMA Dove Award for Contemporary Gospel Recorded Song of the Year for his single "Say So".
He and his wife Lisa often compose music together and wrote the song "Light" for their daughter who was born with Down Syndrome.
He collaborated with fellow singer Israel Houghton on the 2010 single "Heaven".
