Businessman, lawyer, and private equity executive known for being the founder, chairman, and chief investment officer of Regent, L.P., a global private equity firm founded in 2013, along with being the cofounder of the USN television network. He is also known for having served on boards of both public and private companies including Pegasus Solutions, NexTag, and Structural Monitoring Systems.

Before fame

He studied at Southern Methodist University and the University of Southern California before earning his law degree from Pepperdine University School of Law. He sold his first company when he was 28 years old when his business Promenade Membership Services was acquired by a public television and e-commerce company. He co-founded the USN television network in 2003 which grew to reach more than 30 million households and went public before the business was sold. He had become managing director of The Archetype Group by the late 2000s. He founded Regent, L.P. in 2013.
