Before fame
She started classical piano lessons as a child and began competing in piano competitions at an early age. She taught herself recording and music production in high school and started writing songs to help friends through personal challenges. She went on to study Performing Arts Technology / sound technology at the University of Michigan and earned a BFA and minored in business. She co-founded a band while at the University of Michigan. She released her first significant single "Hold the Applause" in 2022.

She also writes and produces for other artists and in 2024 signed a worldwide publishing deal with Spirit Music Group in partnership with Grammy-winning songwriter Autumn Rowe. Her 2022 breakout song "Hold the Applause" began as a 20-minute TikTok songwriting challenge using three random words which went viral.
Family life
She grew up in the Detroit area of Michigan where her parents encouraged her classical piano training and early competitions.
