Mohammad-Reza Foroutan

About

Notable for his roles in the Iranian films Born Under Libra, Under the City's Skin, and Friday's Soldiers, Foroutan went on to receive the prestigious Crystal Simorgh award for his performance in the 1998 movie Ghermez (English title: Red).

Before Fame

After earning a psychology degree from Azad University, he began his acting career by starring as Mercedes in the 1994 film Goal.

Trivia

He played the role of Iraqi prisoner-of-war Farouq in the 2007 film The Night Bus.

Family Life

He was born and raised in Tehran, Iran. In 2001, he married Sahar Ibrahimi Sabet.
