About
Painter known for her hyper-realistic portraits that explore black identity and culture. She was selected as one of eight African American artists featured in The Afro-Futurist Manifesto: Blackness Reimagined at the 59th Venice Biennale in 2022. Her first solo exhibition organized by a museum was titled Through the Veil, at The Columbus Museum.
Before fame
She was a Scholastic silver medal portfolio winner in 2016. In 2018, she won first place in the XL Catlin Art Prize.
Trivia
In 2020, she earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts from the Maryland Institute College of Art. She earned a Master of Fine Arts from the New York Academy of Art in 2022.

She paints her family members including siblings. She has Nigerian heritage.
