About
Pakistani philanthropist and social worker known for being the founder of the Chhipa Welfare Association, one of the largest free volunteer ambulance and emergency-aid services in Pakistan. He is also known for running Instagram and TikTok accounts documenting his program's work.
Before fame
He witnessed mass casualties and lack of sufficient immediate rescue services during a terrorist attack at Bohri Bazaar in Karachi in 1987. His viewing of this incident inspired him to volunteer and gradually build up what became the Chhipa Welfare Association later in 1987. His association began expanding in the 1990s. His Chhipa Welfare Association was officially registered as a non-profit trust under Pakistan's Social Welfare Department in 2000. He was awarded the Sitara-e-Imtiaz or the Star of Excellence in 2013.
Trivia
He had a road renamed after him in September 2014 by the Karachi Metropolitan Corporation in honor of his services. His dedication to humanitarian service has earned him major national awards including Pakistan's Hilal-e-Imtiaz or the Crescent of Excellence in 2023. He once wore plain white slippers and simple clothing as a symbolic gesture of humility and simplicity in his early years of service.

He was born to a family in the Memon community in Karachi, Pakistan.
