Icelandic actress and producer best known for her work in the films Children, Trapped, and Undercurrent, and the TV series The Valhalla Murders, and Blackport, which was released in 2021. She posts lifestyle, family, and behind-the-scenes content on her ninadew Instagram page. 

Before Fame

She graduated from the Iceland Academy of the Arts with a degree in acting in 2001. She acted mostly in plays before transitioning to films. Her first prominent role in film was in Dramarama (2001). 

Trivia

She was selected for the "Shooting Stars" award at the Berlin International Film Festival in 2003. She was also awarded the Order of the Falcon for her work in 2023. 

Family Life

She was born and raised in Reykjavík, Iceland. Her parents divorced when she was two years old. She has a daughter, who was born in 2006, and a son, who was born in 2011, together with Gísli Örn Gardarsson.
