Writer, editor, and journalist known for her work writing Young Adult fiction, as well as non-fiction and educational fiction for schools. Her books include Cheshire Moon and Spontaneous Combustion.
She attended Duke University to study medicine before deciding to study religion. She later attended school to be a Physician's Assistant before becoming a newspaper reporter.
She's taught at the Institute of Children's Literature and also worked as an editor. She was once a one-day champion on Jeopardy!
She grew up with younger sisters and has a son.
