Journalist who rose to fame as the managing editor for the satirical feminist website The Toast between 2014-2016. Her memoir All You Can Ever Know was published in 2018 to widespread critical acclaim.
She graduated from Johns Hopkins University in 2003. She would later gain her master's from the school in 2014.
She served as editor-in-chief for Catapult Magazine. Her work on the memoir All You Can Ever Know earned her a National Book Critics Circle Award for autobiography nomination in 2018.
She is of Korean descent. She was adopted as a baby by white Catholic parents in Oregon.
She and Nicole Cliffe collaborated as fellow journalists for The Toast.
