Secretary General of the Organization of African Unity from 1972 to 1974. He also served as an Adviser for Administrative Affairs under President Paul Biya from 1985 to 1989.
He studied in Germany before being elected to the Legislative Assembly of Cameroon in 1961
He served in the past as Cameroon's Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and Minister of Labor.
He was survived by his wife and twelve children.
He was born in the same country as soccer player Yann Sango'o.
