Guitarist, keyboardist and vocalist for The Doobie Brothers best known for being the lone consistent member of the band throughout their tenure.
He was a student at San José State University. He and author William J. Craddock opened a vintage motorcycle shop together.
During the hiatus of The Doobie Brothers, he released a couple of solo albums called Arcade and Take Me to the Highway. He would also form a band called Skin Suit.
He would meet his wife Cristine at the Sturgis Motorcycle Rally in Sturgis, South Dakota in 1989.
He and Tom Johnston are two of the most recognizable faces of The Doobie Brothers.
