Politician known for her relation to the Bharatiya Janata Party and for being a Member of Parliament from Mumbai North Central. She is recognized for also being the National President of Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha youth section.
She first joined the Bhartiya Janta Party after the murder of her father in 2006. She began by encouraging youth voters in south Mumbai during the Lok Sabha elections. She then ran in the 2014 Indian general elections for Mumbai North Central and won by a slim margin.
She is also known for having been President of the Basketball Federation of India and for being the first female to hold the position.
She married Anand Rao Vejandla and together they have a son named Aadya Rao and a daughter named Avika Rao.
She shared a photo with politician Amit Shah in New Delhi to her Instagram in July of 2018.
