Spanish singer who is considered one of the premiere artist working within the Catalan music subgenre known as Nova Cançó. He has won global acclaim for releases like 1989's Canta Ausiàs March and 1997's Recitals al Palau.

Before Fame

As a young man, he worked as a radio personality in his hometown of Xàtiva, Spain. He moved to Valencia in his early 20's.

Trivia

His live album Raimon a l'Olympia received the Francis Carco Award from the Académie du Disque Français.

His full name is Ramón Pelegero Sanchis. He has been married.
