Venezuelan artist who is known for her political cartoons and caricatures. She rose to widespread fame for her 19-year career publishing political cartoons in El Universal before being relieved of her job following her criticizing the Venezuelan health care system through a political cartoon in 2014.
She earned her degree in journalism from Central University of Venezuela.
She earned the Interamerican Society Press Prize in 2005. She was depicted as a primary protagonist in the 2015 film Caricaturists - Footsoldiers of Democracy.
She was born and raised in Caracas, Venezuela.
She has remained an outspoken critic of the late Venezuelan president Hugo Chavez.
