Before Fame
He was a pig farmer who, along with his brother, set up the non-profit charity Piggy Palace Good Times Society in 1996. He used the pig farm to host raves, dances, and exhibitions which drew up to 2,000 people.
Trivia
He wrote an autobiography called Pickton: In His Own Words while in prison. The manuscript was passed through by former cellmates who handed it to a retired construction worker Michael Chilldres who typed it up.
Family Life
He was born Port Coquitlam, British Columbia. His parents were Leonard and Louise Pickton. He had an older sister named Linda and a younger brother named David.

He was played by Ben Cotton in the 2016 film Unclaimed, which was based on the book On the Farm.
