American musical theatre actress, dancer, and singer best known for originating the role of Nini in Moulin Rouge! the Musical on Broadway. For her performance in the role, she achieved a nomination for Best Featured Actress in a Musical at the 2020 Tony Awards. She has also starred in Broadway roles such as Velma Kelly in Chicago and Ivy Lynn in Smash. 

Before Fame

She was raised in Windham, ME and began formally training in dance at a young age at her church studio. She later became a soloist at the Maine State Ballet, where she also assisted in instructing classes. She attended the University of New Hampshire before relocating to New York City in order to pursue her career in stage performance more seriously.

Trivia

For her performance in Kiss Me, Kate, she won a Helen Hayes Award and an Emery Battis Award. She later won two Chita Rivera Wards for Dance and Choreography, for her performances in A Beautiful Noise and Smash.

Family Life

Shares a son named Hudson with her husband, Clyde Alves, who is also a performer on Broadway.
