Lawyer and writer who gained fame as the creator and founder of Lawyerist, a community for solo and small-firm lawyers. He opened his own firm in 2005 and has served on the HOME Line board of directors.
He received his bachelors degree from Virginia Tech in 2000 and followed with his juris doctorate from the University of Minnesota Law School in 2003. In 2007, he created Lawyerist to rant about legal software.
He is a prolific public speaker and has compiled presentations like "How to Prepare for the Future of Law Practice" and "Basic Tech Competence."
He has lived in Minneapolis, Minnesota.
