Republican politician who became Alabama State Auditor in 2006. She was elected to a second term as Auditor in 2010.
After graduating from Auburn University, she worked as an accountant for oil, steel, and furniture companies.
She replaced fellow Republican politician Beth Chapman as Alabama State Auditor.
With her husband, Alabama Supreme Court Judge Gregory Shaw, she raised two sons.
She served as Deputy Finance Director during United States Senator Jeff Sessions' 2002 re-election campaign.
