Her father, Ahmed Ramadan, is a renowned political figure who previously served as the Ghanaian National Chairman of the People's National Convention (PNC). In February 2004, she married Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, who was the Vice President of Ghana from 2017 to 2025. Together, they share four children including one daughter and three sons.
