Famous as the youngest city council member (of a city with a population exceeding 200,000) in the United States, Resnick was first elected to Madison, Wisconsin's Common Council in 2011. In 2014, he announced his intention to run for Mayor of Madison.
In his early adulthood, he took office as Vice President of the Hardin Design & Development company.
While serving on the Madison Common Council, he penned and passed the state of Wisconsin's first public data initiative.
He received a degree in political science from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
He and New York politician Joel Rivera were the two youngest people in history to be elected to their cities' respective councils.
