She competed in the WWF, AWA, ECW, and WCW, and won the WWF Women's Championship in 1987, in her WWF debut; captured three AWA World Women's Championships during her career.
She decided at a young age that she wanted to be a wrestler, but did not begin training until she was an adult.
She was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame in 2006.
She was married three times in her life, and had one child, a son.
From 1989 to 1991, she managed legend Randy Savage.
