He is especially known for his comedy sketches, dances, original music, and acting updates that he shares on TikTok with over 150,000 followers and on Instagram with over 60,000 followers.

Before fame

He began taking dance lessons when he was 3 years old and started traveling from Long Island to New York City for auditions when he was 15. He developed his ShowTimeBrando brand by dancing and hosting local parties before posting comedy sketches and music online in late 2019. He earned his acting breakthrough as DJ Neva Scared when P-Valley premiered in July 2020.

Trivia

His stage name originated when his father's friends began calling him "Showtime" while watching him play basketball. He released his first song "Ultimate Dance Challenge" in 2015 and its dance video went viral on Facebook. He graduated from Morehouse College in 2021 with a degree in theatre and performance.

Family life

His real name given to him by his parents is Brandon Gilpin. He was raised by Jamaican parents.
