NFL coach who made a name for himself on the coaching staffs of teams like the Arizona Cardinals before earning his first head coaching job with the New York Jets in 2015. As a player, he won Super Bowl XXII as a safety with the Washington Redskins.
He played college football at Temple University and debuted with the Redskins in 1986.
He was named the PFWA NFL Assistant of the Year as the defensive coordinator of the Arizona Cardinals in 2014.
He was married to Jill Jenkins before getting remarried to Taneka Bowles. He has children named Troy, Tyson, Sydni, and Todd Jr.
He and cornerback Darrell Green played in the defensive backfield which helped the Redskins win Super Bowl XXII.
