About

French philosopher whose first novel, Hate: A Romance, won the prestigious Prix de Flore in 2008. His highly praised work of ontology, Form and Object: A Treatise on Things, was published several years later. He has shared his philosophical insights with students as a professor at Jean Moulin University Lyon 3.

Before Fame

He completed his philosophical studies at the École Normale Supérieure and Paris-Sorbonne University.

Trivia

Several of his works have been translated into English. Reviews of his work are featured in issues of The Guardian and The New York Times.

Family Life

He was born to academic parents. He spent his early years in Algeria.
