Before Fame
He played for several youth teams as a child and teenager. He moved to the Italian mainland from Sicily to pursue his soccer career when he was 15 years old. He began playing professionally for Serie A in 1997. After he retired from playing, he pursued coaching. His first coaching position was as the assistant coach for Unione Venezia in 2014.
