She divides her time between Sydney and Paris. She is an only child and grew up in Sydney. Her father, Alan Sharpe, was a writer and historian. Her maternal grandmother Bessie Fishman and her great aunt Ann Fishman were both psychic and were followers of Russian occultist Madam Blavatsky. Her partner is Australian artist Bernard Ollis.
