About

Former soccer player who played in the position of defender for teams such as Sparta Rotterdam, RKC Waalwijk, and Excelsior Maasluis. He officially retired from his career on-field in 2014 while he was still a player for the XerxesDZB football club. He served as the Head of Marketing for Excelsior Massluis for seven years beginning in 2012 before becoming the CEO of FC Gronigen, a role he has held since 2019.

Before Fame

He made his competitive youth debut in July of 2000, when he was signed to the Feyenoord Youth football club. He stayed on with them until 2004, when he joined Excelsior Maassluis. This is the Tweede Divisie, or highest amateur soccer league, in the Netherlands.

He began functioning in off-field roles in the soccer industry in 2010 while he was still quite active in his on-field career. His earliest administrative role was as part of the marketing staff for Excelsior Maasluis. In 2012, he was promoted to become their head of marketing.

Family Life

He is married to his wife Mariëlle. He is the son of Eric Guidde, who has worked as the manager of both the Excelsior Maassluis and VV Spijkenisse football clubs. For 10 years, he served as the CEO of Feyenoord Rotterdam before becoming a member of the supervisory board for Eredivisie CV in February of 2015.

While playing for the Sparta Rotterdam football club in its 2004-2005 season, some of his teammates included Evgeniy Levchenko and Danny Koevermans.
