Before fame
He attended Central East High School and developed into one of the top wide receiver recruits in the 2021 class. He was ranked among the top 70 players nationally and was considered one of the best wide receivers in California. He originally committed to the University of Michigan before ultimately signing with the University of Texas. He enrolled at Texas in 2021 and immediately made an impact as a true freshman. He was selected 28th overall in the first round of the 2024 NFL Draft by the Kansas City Chiefs.
Trivia
He earned Big 12 Offensive Freshman of the Year in 2021. He set the all-time NFL Combine record for the 40-yard dash in 2024 with a time of 4.21 seconds and becoming the fastest player in combine history. He became the first former Texas Longhorn to score a touchdown in a Super Bowl in February 2025. He launched The Worthy 1's Foundation in July 2025 which is a nonprofit dedicated to supporting single mothers and their families.
