She has a degree in finance from the University of British Columbia. She worked in finance prior to founded her organization in 2009.
She was inspired to start FCancer after her mother was diagnosed with breast cancer. It was at this time that Cohen learned how effective cancer treatment could be if the disease was caught early.
Born in South Africa, she was raised in British Columbia. She married Scooter Braun in 2015. She and Scooter have two sons named Levi and Jagger.
