She was raised by her grandparents in Corsica. Her family had no water or electricity until she was 10 years old.

Trivia

At age 28, she started modeling in Paris after her sister asked her to stand in at Paris Fashion Week. She moved to New York in 1999 and started to work with bigger brands. Her interest in the arts includes photography, pottery making, jewelry making and knitting. She has practiced yoga for more than 30 years.

Family Life

At 17, she married and gave birth to her son. Her daughter was born three years later. When she was 28, she divorced. She has granddaughters named Sara and Leanne.
