Before Fame
She started her career as a model in her twenties and worked for several brands such as Nike, Apple, and Top Shop. She started performing her spoken-word poetry shortly after and went on to release her first book On Snakes and Other Stories in 2013.

In 2012, she was listed as one of the top-five female writers to watch by Company Magazine. Her work has reached hundreds of thousands of readers around the world. She has also performed at poem at the opening ceremony of COP26, which is the UN Climate Change Conference in Glasgow.
