Became known as a child playing Eddie Kaspbrak in the original miniseries adaptation of Stephen King's It in 1990. He would go on to play Wilson Jeffries in the straight-to-video film Where the Red Fern Grows: Part Two.
His first acting role was in a 1985 episode of American Playhouse, though he wouldn't earn a recurring role until his 1989 spot in the Lonesome Dove miniseries.
After earning a degree in Pacific and Asian studies at the University of Victoria, he became a sake expert and began working as the resident beverage director at Kenichi.
