Before Fame
In 2007 he was one of eight Indonesian students selected by the government of Singapore to receive full scholarships to study at Nanyang Technological University in Singapore. He went on to become the first Indonesian to be accepted into a dual degree program in the United States. He holds a master's degree in public administration (Public Policy) from Harvard University, and a Master of Business Administration from Stanford University.
Trivia
He founded Ruangguru to help improve education in Indonesia. Forbes included him in their '30 under 30' in 2017. Since founding, his business has spread to Vietnam, Thailand, and Singapore, and reached over 20,000,000 K-12 students.
Family Life
He is the oldest of three siblings. He married Sabrina Anggraini in March 2022. Their daughter Launa was born a year later in March 2023.
