Indian choreographer famous for his work on the films Taal, Ghajini, and Kick. He is a director, writer, and producer as well, known for his films Lakeer - Forbidden Lines, Fool n Final, Ek Paheli Leela, and Paathshaala. He has served as a judge on Nach Baliye 9, a competitive dance show.

He began his entertainment career as an actor in 1984, starring in Manzil Manzil.
Trivia
He has come close to tragedy twice, having worked at the World Trade Center two days before the September 11th attack. The second occurrence involved him canceling a hotel reservation last minute in 2004 which would have led to him staying at a hotel destroyed by the 2004 Indian tsunami. He won his first award for choreography in 1995, a Filmfare Best Choreography Award.

He married Shaira Ahmed Khan. They have two sons, Azaan and Subhaan.
