Filipina actress who achieved great popularity when her 2003 film Ang Tanging Ina became a major blockbuster in her home country. She later starred in the movie's television spin-off as well as films like Ang Tanging Ina N'yong Lahat (2008), Ang Tanging Ina Mo (Last na 'To!) (2010), and Our Mighty Yaya (2017).
She earned a degree in mass communications from Far Eastern University. Before acting, she was a stand-up comic in Metro Manila.
She is the creator of the film production company MEDA Productions.
She has children named Sean, Sofia, and Sancho. She was previously married to actor Miguel Vera.
She co-starred with Eugene Domingo in the hit comedy Ang Tanging Ina.
