He has been a writer on shows like Rosehaven, Spicks and Specks and Full Frontal. He also wrote for the movie Tripod Tells the Tale of the Adventures of Tosswinkle the Pirate (Not Very Well).
Before Fame
He began working as an actor in Wellington and Auckland. He also appeared in a series of butter commercials as a drag queen called Marge. In 1993, he appeared in the New Zealand sitcom Melody Rules.
