Venezuelan sabre fencer who is known for competing in multiple Olympic Games as part of Venezuela's national team. She is also known for competing in the Pan American Championships and won the bronze medal at the 2006 championships. 

Before Fame

She first began fencing at the age of fifteen due to the suggestion of her aunt. She attended Central University of Venezuela and went on to join the national junior team in 1996. She went on to qualify for the 2004 Summer Olympics in Athens. 


She is known for her political career as well and was named Minister of Sports for the government by Nicolas Maduro in March of 2013.

She was born and raised in Caracas, Venezuela.

She was a friend and supporter of Hugo Chavez and appeared in one of his presidential ad campaigns.
