American singer who is best recognized for having been the original G.I. character in the recording act Village People. He is known for having worn a uniform to represent all diffrent branches of America's armed forces and for having performed frequently at the Golden Nugget in Atlantic City.
Before Fame
He studied singing at the University of Hartford in Connecticut and started his career as an actor. He was first introduced to the Village People by producer and composer Jacques Morali. He started performing with the group in 1978 and in 1979, he started performing as the G.I. character.

He is known for having performed on the popular series American Bandstand with the group which is where he was first introduced to the popular "YMCA" dance moves.
