She got her musical start singing in contests like the now-defunct Eat Bulaga segment Gymeoke. She later studied at St. Scholastica's College's Conservatory of Music.
She and Maricris Garcia became finalists in Eat Bulaga's Just Duet segment.
Her family made a living by selling things on the sidewalk starting in 1987.
On The Voice of the Philippines, she was the runner-up to winner Jason Dy.
