About

American celebrity chef who worked in the White House as a chef during four administrations. He later retired as Master Sergeant of the U.S. Army. He has been deployed several times, serving as a trainer in hand-to-hand combat and food service. He received fame after a photograph of him preparing a Ramadan meal for a White House dinner in June 2018 went viral on Twitter. He has gained a large fanbase on social media, with over 2 million followers on his realchefrush Instagram account. 

Before Fame

He obtained a bachelor's degree in Business Management from Trident University International. He also has an associate degree in Hotel Restaurant Management from Central Texas College and an associate degree from Culinary Stafford University. He first enlisted on active duty in the US Army in 1993. 

Trivia

He has been public on his workout regime, where he does 2,222 pushups daily as part of the 22 pushup challenge, with the goal of raising awareness for the roughly 22 veterans who die by suicide every day. He was featured in a Men's Health article in 2021 showing his daily exercise and diet routine. 

Family Life

He was born and raised in Columbus, Mississippi. He's featured his mom on his Instagram page celebrating her for Mother's day in May 2023.
