Dutch-Israeli pianist who became known for his mastery of many composers, including Franz Schubert.
He studied at the Amsterdam Academy of Music, graduating with a Piano Soloist degree and a Piano Teacher degree.
He began collaborating with flautist Abbie de Quant in 1970. He also collaborated with Bat-Sheva Zeisler and the Tamar Piano Trio.
He made a name for himself as a chamber music specialist, working early on with his brother, Peter Berman, who was also a pianist.
He once took a master class taught by Alfred Brendel.
