Before Fame
She gravitated toward music from a young age. She moved from Albania to the United Kingdom when she was 15 to complete high school. Her official debut came in 2003 when she released "Më Beso" which was a collaboration with the music group Produkt 28. She released her debut album Besa in 2006. She won the 15th edition of the show Kënga Magjike with her song "Tatuazh në Zemër" in 2013. She became better known internationally after representing Albania at the Eurovision Song Contest 2024.

Her full name is Besa Kokëdhima. She grew up in an academically driven family with both of her parents being mathematicians. She is the oldest of three children.
