Basketball coach for the NCAA, ABA, WBA and NBA. He coached for the Cleveland Cavaliers from 1980-1982, Sarasota Stingers from 1983 until 1984 and Tampa Bay Thrillers from 1984 until 1987. He later coached the Minnesota Timberwolves from 1989 until 1991.
He finished his career as the second all-time leading scorer at Wooster High School in Ohio.
He was known for his strong dislike for losing.
He married Kris Musselman and the couple had two sons and one daughter.
His oldest son, Eric Musselman, coached the Golden State Warriors and Gilbert Arenas.
