Blanka Stajkow

Singer, songwriter, and model commonly known by the mononym "Blanka," who notably represented Poland with her song, "Solo," in the 2023 Eurovision Song Contest. The song, which was only her second official single, had been released in the year 2022. It went Certified Platinum by the Polish Society of the Phonographic Industry, or ZPAV. Later, in the year 2023, she released her third single, "Boys Like Toys."

Before Fame

She produced and released her very first single when she was just 13 years old. The song was titled, "Strong Enough." In the year 2021, she released her official debut single, "Better." She was signed to Warner Music Poland the following year.

Trivia

Prior to her competition in the Eurovision Song Contest, she auditioned to be on the tenth season of Top Model in the year 2021. Although she was not ultimately chosen to be a contestant, she appeared in the casting stage of the series, where fashion photographer Marcin Tyszka famously had her pose with an inflatable unicorn.

Family Life

Her father is a Bulgarian businessman. Her mother is a Polish model and inspired her to become a singer by encouraging her to participate in a wide variety of extracurricular activities as a child, and by always playing the MTV and Trace Urban music channels on their TV.

In the year 2022, she released her cover of the Mariah Carey hit song, "All I Want for Christmas Is You" as a non-album single.
